Everest Poker Review
Everest Poker Review, overall score:
Written by Darren Meredith (blog) (email)

Everest poker is an old school player in the online poker world. It is still around and doing well for several reasons outlined later. Everest may not have the prettiest of sites (in my opinion) or the flashyest of software, however it is fast, good to play on, has large traffic, brilliant customer service amongst a minimum deposit of $5 (£2.50) using Neteller...heard enough already? - Sign up now for $100 signup bonus

The download
After opening the site I half expected a long and lengthy download and sign up process farught with problems, pleasantly suprised I found the download to be quick at around 3.8MB and I deposited using neteller in about 10 minutes. The signup had no problems other than the different screen name / username setup which I don't really like.

The tables
Well what can I say, the tables are basic and don't show off the futuristic look like pkr and others but I got to grips pretty quickly. One feature of the everest poker tables I love is the bet pot button and the ease to raise and limited chance of slipping on the all in button. I decided for a change I would start my everest poker experience on the cash tables and by God, 2 hours of play on a 25c/50c table and I am $100 richer and starting to love this poker room. I have to say if your looking for tournament play then this site is probably not for you as the action is more focused around cash tables.

The players
For the loosest cash game going I suggest you head straight over to everest poker as the players seem to not like their bankroll much. I tried different table sizes, blind levels and buyins and I found weak play you would expect from playing your grandad at 7 card stud after one to many sherries. I like the players on everest, people talk and there is not as much bitterness as on some other rooms. The tournament players are a different story, its more like playing Johnny chan after a whole bottle of sherry, this could be down to the fact I have normally come off a very aggressive and profitable stint on the cash tables, and to run into more patient, tight aggressive types can be a hard transition to make. Why not try it for a while and report back to us on uk poker talk our poker forum.

Bonuses
A smooth $100 sign up bonus for new players as well as other promotions running regularly. I would suggest if your a bonus hunter then everest is the place to clear it and fast. The cash table action as mentioned means that $100 can pay for your saturday night out even if you start playing on Friday evening. Sign up now

My thoughts
Everest poker is an old time favourite which plays well, especially if your interested primarily in the cash tables. We really like everest poker for the massive bonuses both for signing up as well as regular top ups as well as the interface and generally solid software.
